Footpath Nazi!

Sydney City Council and mainly Sydney's most hated woman, as voted by participating readers of The Sydney Morning Herald's The (sydney) Magazine, Clover Moore have been very pro-cyclist of late including building numerous bike paths around the city.

I live on one of these bike path roads and the amount of cyclists on the footpath is so fucking infuriating -here is my letter to the council re cyclists. Note that when I say I "tell them to get off the footpath" it's more like yelling at them to "get the fuck off the footpath! they built bike lanes for you fuckwits and you don't even use them you fucking gronks"

I am aware that you sent out a pamphlet about the laws for cyclists when you completed your cycle paths, it seems as though few people took any notice of the fact it is illegal to ride on the footpath if one is over the age of 12 (unless with accompanying a person under the age of 12).
As a pedestrian I have not had one day in the past year,at least, where I've not had to tell someone to get off the footpath(and no not in shared zones I know how they work). When I tell them that what they are doing is illegal they don't believe me.
I have had instances where someone will be riding on the footpath down Bourke St parallel to someone in the very clearly marked bike lane who will yell abuse at me when I tell them to use the bike lane.
Only the other day on George St , which is hard enough to navigate as a pedestrian because people can't seem to figure out the notion of keeping to the left, a cyclist was trying to barge his way through people and shouting at them to get out of the way (when surely it would have been much easier to just go on the road and not deal with any pedestrians, but a lot of people lack common sense)
I'm not hating on all cyclists, the majority of them are not inconsiderate arseholes but can you please put some HIGHLY VISIBLE signage up about it being illegal to be on the footpath and hand out a couple of (highly publisiced) fines to drive the msg home - especially as a lot of the people I see on the footpath are young so they'Il probably suffer most from a fine.

NB4BLOG: although they probs won't pay it anyway.
